today is my dad's birthday. Dad and I have shared many things in the 18 years that lived in Sri Lanka. I still remember the cowboy games we used to play when I was around 5 years old. We used to overturn the tables and transform them into bunkers and shoot at each other. He was my mentor right through. I once broke the windscreen of his brand new van, with a catapult he had gifted me. He had to call the police for insurance and I thought they had come to arrest me. I hid under the kitchen sink. My father comforted me afterwards. It has been wonderful to have a father like him. He took so much interest in everything I opted for in life, until now. He encouraged me in every way possible, there was a time where I was totally into sports,he used to guide me alot since he was a great sportsman during his time. I used to practice tackling, when I was playing rugby in school. He also used to spar with me when I used to do karate.
He is such a dedicated, family person, who takes care of all our needs. I could see him doing for my brother, everything he did for me. Thaththi, you mean alot to me. He is a true father. Happy birthday!!!
