Darpan, the annual intra collegiate fest ended today. We began preparing almost a month in advance.We met almost every morning at 8.00 am and fretted so much to get our parts right. This took ages. Practice got intense day by day and we began meeting at 7.00 am. We did Living on a prayer by Bon Jovi, New shoes, as in the PUMA ad and our own comp which was called On the dance floor. I added some sinhala lyrics into it. Just for the heck of it. Our beat box Zohrab stayed over at my place for two consecutive nights. It was alot of fun while it lasted. Cycling all the way to Nimhans early morning to attend practice at apoorvas place and all the Horlicks and the black teas provided by Keshava. It was worth it. The heated arguements and the loss of tempers here and there added to the whole spirit of music. I learnt to keep my short temper in check, which was quite cool.
So we went on stage finally did an OK performance. I messed up a lil bit. But we ended up being placed 2nd which was WOW!!!so at the end of the day we achieved something. It was great bonding with fellow band mates.
