Yet another death.

Everyone who read yesterdays papers know that there was a major suicide bombing in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka day before yesterday. Former Sri Lankan HC Janaka Perera and his wife were killed in the bombing. So much brutality, so much sadness and so much pain. It is hard to picture a death of this magnitude, what it would have been like. It must have taken only a split second, but you can never say.

I knew their son, we used to play rugby together in school. I knew them too. I used to visit their home when I was a kid.Yet another attack directed at me, though indirectly. Not only me, my family and our acquaintances. It did hit me hard to know that two people I knew though not too much were no more. No one can imagine the pain their children must be going through. That is not for us to even think about. This ethnic conflict, this horror hole, this garbage pit filled with the stench of corruption, would it ever end?How many more lives will it take with it?

It has been terror all along in Sri Lanka. When will its identity as a paradise on earth be found again?.
