A lemon's journey to heaven

Lemons suspended in mid air,
fresh sour and green.
They taste tangy on my sweet tongue,
adds flavour, adds colour, so green.

Its late now,
I am dreaming of paradise,
of Paris Island, of Greece,
so colourful, like lemons at midnight

Memories forlorn, faded,
like old lemons, not attained nirvana,
the moon, the stars called out
the lemons went to heaven.

Heaven, enchantingly utopian,
welcomed the lemons solemnly.
It said " My dear lemons, you've done good,
continue to do good, for your own good."

Oh lemon, I hope you met the messiah
Tell me what he said, I'd love to know.
