Cross Over

The window half open

ripples of ocean water

protrude between

the lush green mountains

clinging to my soul

inviting me with love

to cross over, leap across

the named path for me

to traverse ahead, my feet

nimble,touching icy water

reaching out in silence

to touch,feel and laugh with

the mountain people

hoarse,strong but devoid

of hate, they will guide me,

shelter me

till I am called back

to reality.

I was just day dreaming

with sultry notes on all sides

drawing me an inch closer

to peace

to strength

to life.
