Running along mine fields,
hopping over little blobs
on the ground,
one slip, and thats it.

His heart thumping,
in dread, he scrambles
slinging his gun
safety catch yearning for release.

A little girl,
her cheeks so soft
skips and hops,over the candy,
stuck to the ground.

Boom! Scatter! Splat!
a leg here, her head there,
pieces of candy,stuck everywhere,
little did she know, the candy was never there.
