Work so far...

It has been two months at my first job. I have changed offices twice, due to various circumstances. It has been very interesting so far with a great deal of new experiences, new faces and new places. I have learnt so much about organizational politics, back scrubbing and back biting, hissing, spitting and of course love. It somehow feels great to be given responsibility and even greater to do justice to all the responsibility handed from down and up.

The day begins at 8.30am and ends at 4.30 and in between is just some random times for tea and lunch. There is of course sometime to chat informally with colleagues and also to dream. Work comes in all fashion and fancies everyday. It could be, make a poster, design an advertisement, make a PowerPoint presentation, update the website and any thing else at random. This is other than counseling and lecturing of course. The reception is usually the hangout spot where we crack our jokes, share our happiness and sadness, eat chocolate, dream, write and of course answer the telephone.

I meet different people everyday, all of them human. I get to see humanity in different forms. I get to see suffering first hand, but also smiles, laughter, dance and music. The atmosphere at work is serene and peaceful. Trees, shrubs, green luscious grass, and a gentle breeze that is just there to carry he, she, they, them and me.

It's a funny world out there, and I am just beginning to live in it.
